HAPPY CHRISTMAS!

What was your best pressie?

Mine was the latest copy of the Writers' & Artists' Yearbook that my hubby gets for me every Christmas. It always gives me that much needed kick-up-the-backside to start my writing year afresh.

(....closely follwed by the Dita Von Teese calendar I got from my daughter. Yes. I have a girlcrush for this sexy burlesque stripper...ssshhh... )

John ~ always good to get books from the master of horror. Enjoy them. Which did you get?

AS a visiting Macmillllan New Wrtiter with not enough to do today, can I tell you that my favourite present was a wonderful warm long cashmere cardigan from my daughter. And books, of course.

Happy new year, Akasha.

Frances ~ welcome to the Darkside and Happy New Year Wishes to you too. Your cardie sounds cosy, just the thing to snuggle into on these long cold writing evenings.

Hi Akasha! My favorite present in the whole world was that my daughter and her husband came up from Atlanta for Christmas with my grandson. Family is the best there is. So here's to us all enjoying our family time in the New Year!

I got some old Space Opera stuff, which I really wanted. And some cool CDs from my son.

Rick ~ there is no better present at christmas than family. :)

Hi Charles ~ I love having a teenage daughter, she introduces me to some good music - this year it was My Chemical Romance.

Even better than a teenage daughter is a thirty-something daughter who cooks for 20 at Christmas. Mmmm.
